About Skilton Truck Repairs
Skilton Truck Repairs journey began in Drury, New Zealand, where Layton spent his childhood in his grandfather’s workshop, Skilton Truck Parts. This early exposure planted the seeds for his future endeavors.
Relocating to Australia, Layton established Skilton Truck Repairs in 2015, initially servicing trucks during after-hours and weekends.
Forming a lasting friendship with Nick Bell, and over 12 years, they both honed their skills to become certified heavy vehicle mechanics.
By 2019, the business officially took shape with Nick Bell joining as a co-founder. Together, Layton and Nick have steered Skilton Truck Repairs, leveraging their expertise as qualified heavy vehicle mechanics and qualified auto electricians.
Since its inception, Skilton Truck Repairs has evolved from a purely mobile operation to a well-established workshop, expanding its team with skilled mechanics. Specialising in Japanese heavy vehicles, the business now operates as an authorised safety inspection station. This growth underscores their commitment to excellence and adaptability in meeting the diverse needs of their customers.
